Maryam Lafargue, author of this story, wanted to express her passion for Surfing, the Basque Country and the ocean combined with her native language, English, and her second language, French, through an illustrated book designed to inspire young people and also adults who read to their children.
Jieun Ahn, illustrator of the book, wanted to transcribe her joyful and colourful universe.
Born in Korea, she finds her inspiration in Biarritz, through nature, the native joy of the Basque people and their travels.
